Serpentium Raid and Doom Aporia Raid Gameplay Difficulty Improvement

After the update on May, many players were able to get into Serpentium region, but are facing numerous difficulties in gameplay. This has been a problem especially with improving the armor.

For Doom Aporia, players have consistently mentioned that the runtime is too long.

Players have stated that the gameplay has gotten far worse due to the fatigue from the raid, pushing players to use Shaviana Truffles Costume, Divinity of Seven Realms Costume, Versatility Title, and other means of swapping out current set in a complicated manner to reduce the runtime as much as possible.

Therefore, the summer update serves to improve the burden on the players.

With the swaps in items and titles, we believe that an adjustment is necessary to prevent the gameplay from becoming overly complicated. First of all, the buff effects from Shaviana Truffles and Divinity of Seven Realms Costume will only last if the set effect is active. Versatility title buff will be removed when title swap happens.

Also, Ice Burner Costumes and Accessories and Titles that provide buffs will be adjusted so that upon removing the item or title, the buff will be removed as well.

The list of items and titles that will be affected by this will be announced at a later date closer to the update.

We plan to continue reducing the swaps needed in gameplay.

Since the root cause of these swaps is the difficulty of Serpentium and Doom Aporia Raids, we plan to adjust the difficulty of the raid so that players do not feel too much fatigue from the raid.

For Serpentium Raid, Difficulty Stage 2 will be removed, making it into a raid with 3 Difficulty Stages in total. After removal, the new Difficulty Stage 1 will have its difficulty greatly reduced, and the new Difficulty Stages 2 and 3 will have difficulty reduced along with a reduction in the number of Forced Mechanics.

Doom Aporia Raid will also be improved so that the difficulty is greatly reduced for Difficulty Stage 1 and overall difficulty adjusted so that players can finish the raid twice as fast.

Region for Hero in Battle Buff Expanded
The update back in May provided the Hero in Battle Buff up to Tirnog when entering with fewer people than the dungeon limit. There has been multiple requests that this buff be extended to dungeons beyond Tirnog, and we have also seen the need for it as well.

Therefore, this summer update will bring Hero in Battle Buff to all normal dungeons.

Balance and Item Adjustments
The Balance Patch in August will combine the statistics in Doom Aporia Raid Gameplay Data since the last balance patch back in June to see the overall offensive performance of characters and bring lacking characters up to par and revamp weak skills. We plan to focus on overall buffs in general, but may adjust damage or number of hits based on the data.

Also, with the balance patch changes, certain items will also be adjusted. The items in question are ‘Maestro Halo’, ‘Exascale Gloves Circuit’, and ‘Exascale Restore Set’. The following changes will be made.

For Maestro Halo, we plan to improve the effect and duration of the Symphony effect.

For Exascale Gloves Circuits, we have heard requests from numerous players that they have faced many issues when changing their classes and have decided to make the following changes.

With the balance and item adjustments, there will be a class change event and exascale armor color change, exascale armor character change tickets so that players can try other classes freely.

Also, Exascale Character Change system will be added so that players are not restricted to a single character.

Master Class Portrait Added
Many players have requested for Master Class Skill-Cut Ins as portraits, but the Master Class images alone were not enough for portrait use. We have created separate illustrations so that every class can use Master Class Portrait as an option under the customization settings.
New Region Dungeon and Giant Boss, New Magic Stones and Accessories Added
In this summer, the land of spirits <Atma’Ram> and new story will be updated.

New region dungeons will be restricted to about Serpentium Region’s combat power level so that more adventurers can set foot in it.
The new region will have the following contents added.

The first dungeon serves to be the new EXP Farm dungeon. The dungeon will far exceed the EXP efficiency of Plegas’s Reflection dungeon.

The second dungeon serves as a farmable dungeon for new magic stones. The dungeon will allow solo gameplay. The more monsters are defeated along with party members, the more magic stones that are available. New Magic Stones will have Skill (Active, Tenacity, Strength, Bravery) Damage Increase, All Skill Damage Increase, and other various stats.

The last dungeon is a Giant Boss Dungeon where players can farm new accessories. Accessory parts consist of Top Piece, Face Middle, Face Bottom, Arm, and Necklace. The Accessory has various stats and set options.
We are preparing the Top Piece Accessory to replace Code of Honor / Engine Cooling System so that players will no longer have to swap accessories mid-fight.
The New Giant Boss will have a separate entry limit. The existing Giant Boss Dungeons (Plegas’s Labyrinth, The Great Steel Wall) will be open at all times for entry. The existing Giant Boss Dungeons (Titan’s Grotto, Plegas’s Labyrinth, The Great Steel Wall) will have their difficulties reduced and be adjusted so that players can enter as a party of 1~6, allowing gameplay to be more at ease.

Summer Event

With the summer update, we plan to introduce a new growth support event. An event that allows players to reach level 99 very quickly and acquire Master Class will take place. This is an upgraded version from the previous Hyper Punch Event.

To allow players to enjoy the new gameplay, new players under 200 El Resonance Point will be set to 200 and receive equipment and crucial items in gameplay. Upon completing the Event, we expect players to be able to reach 10 Million Combat Power. For characters participating in the Growth Event, these characters will be able to gain additional entry into the Secret Dungeon.
Also, a Submergence of Abyss Provision Event will take place to provide +11 Submergence of Abyss with All Weapon Advancement Stages complete so that players can fully enjoy Elsword’s contents during the event period.

* Note that +11 Submergence of Abyss Weapon is a limited-time weapon and cannot be enhanced. Once the player completes all the event questline, players will be able to upgrade the limited-time weapon into a permanent weapon.
